Dear Lawson Residents,
At a recent Architectural Control Committee meeting, it was suggested that a quick update and reminder be sent out via email which touches several common issues discussed at the meeting. In our last update, we reminded the neighborhood to hide or screen garbage cans and recycling containers. Please ensure to continue storing your containers out of sight or email Braesael Management at Lawson@braesael.com with any questions. If you have not removed your container from sight, please do so to avoid additional action.
With spring finally in the air, we want to remind all vehicle drivers to watch out for children when driving through the neighborhood. We often hear complaints of speeding and want to ensure the safety of our children. Please obey the speed limits and be careful, especially during dusk. Likewise, if you see any unusual activity, contact the Waxhaw Police Department and alert your Neighborhood Watch Block Captain.
If you are like us, you have cabin fever and want to get started on those outside projects. We encourage you to apply lawn fertilizer, with crab grass prevention, in the next few weeks, trim bushes, etc. If you have a new project, don't forget to review the Covenants and obtain prior approval for your project from the Architectural Control Committee. Many projects are submitted for review this time of year, so please allow 30 days for processing your application. If you have any questions about a project, call the property manager for assistance. If they cannot answer your question, they will refer you to one of the volunteers on the ACC.
Here are a couple of reminders to expedite your ACC application which can be downloaded from www.lawsonhoa.com or mailed by calling Braesael Management at (704) 847-3507
1) Include sufficient details with your application to explain the project's design, location, materials, specifications, color, pictures, etc.
2) A lot survey is required with every application. Draw the project's location on the lot survey.
3) Fences, in-ground pools, decks, screened decks, sun rooms, building additions, play equipment, permanently installed in-ground basketball goals, sheds, patios, outdoor fire place/fire pit, screen doors, retaining walls, side/back yard sidewalks, and landscaping projects are examples of common requests that require ACC approval. When in doubt, call the property manager.
4) Satellite dish installations require an ACC Application and Antenna Placement Notification Form.
5) An application is not required to repaint your home using the builder's original color.
Thanks for making Lawson and great community!
